A Green Recycling Facility on a Greater Mission

Our History

Tree Top was started in 2002 by Devin Downs. There wasn’t a green landfill around Boise at the time and Mr. Downs, familiar with the industry, saw an opportunity to provide Boise a place to bring their yard waste and add value to it rather than letting it rot or burn as it would in a typical landfill. At the same time, he loved the idea of participating in helping the local environment and creating value-added products that would benefit local homeowners.

Giving Back to Boise

Part of our mission is to give back to the local community. One of the ways we do this is by working with Habitat for Humanity. We support their mission, and support them by letting them use our recycling yard free of charge. Not only do they dump off their old wood scraps, they are given free range access to our piles and take anything that can be of use to their cause.

In addition, we have made countless bark donations to schools and churches. At the end of the day, we view our relationship with our community as mutually beneficial. Our customers keep us in business and we give back and help out at every chance we have.

Why We’re Unique

A Dynamic Recycling Center – Tree Top Recycling has been in the business since 2002. During that time, we’ve grown and have learned the ends and outs of what it takes to run a successful recycling business. Every year we’re evolving and finding new ways to add value to what we do and as a result, add value to the community at large. We’re not content to just be a landfill. We’re a dynamic recycling center that serves Idaho on multiple levels from homeowners and landscapers to commercial businesses.

Affordable – By keeping the process completely in-house, we’ve kept our prices at the lowest in the industry. Our model has allowed us to stay profitable while providing an affordable and quality customer experience.

A One Stop Shop – Part of what makes our model work for us is the multiple services we offer at one location. We started as a green recycling center, but naturally, that led us into the business of offering value-added materials to our customers for their landscape. In addition, we’ve opened our doors to both residential and commercial customers allowing us to serve private homeowners, businesses, and public organizations. We do all the recycling and processing ourselves, along with hauling and delivering.
